David Muir

David was born about 1741 in Fordel, Boghead, Dalgetty, Fife and his baptism took place on December 6th, 1741 in Dalgetty, Fife. David's father was Thomas Muir and his mother was Elizabath Mure. His paternal grandparents were James Muir and Elizabeth (Bessie or Betty) Allan. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, James, Robert, James, Christian, Janet and Elspet. He was the second oldest of the eight children.
