Betty Muir

Betty was born on October 13th, 1747 in Dalgetty, Fife and her baptism took place there on October 18th, 1747. Betty's father was Thomas Muir and her mother was Christian Wilson. Her paternal grandparents were Alexander Muir (Mure) and Elizabeth McNabb; her maternal grandparents were John Wilson and Christian Gib. She had two brothers and three sisters, named William, Thomas, Janet, Margaret and Christian. She was the oldest of the six children.
