Edith Phillis James

Edith Phillis was born on March 30th, 1916 in Auckland New Zealand.¹ Edith Phillis' father was John Arthur James and her mother was Clara Pilkington. Her maternal grandparents were Henry Pilkington and Mary Andrew. She was an only child. She died at the age of 62 on December 12th, 1978 in Middlemore Hospital, Auckland New Zealand. Her burial was on December 14th, 1978 in Purewa Auckland New Zealand.¹¹

- Edithn Phyllis Cooke died 12 Dec 1978 at Middlemore Public Hospital
  of Cancer of the lung with cerebral Mebastases. Dearly loved wife of
  Gordon and loved mother of Annette (Mrs Bellingham) and Garry. mother
  in law of Neville loved nanna of Stephen, Brian, and Tracey. Sadly
  missed by all. Peacefully at rest.
  
  A service was held for Edith Pyhills Cooke at the Purewa Crematorian
  Chapel today 15 Dec 1978. at 2-45pm.
