Eigilwich was born about 0770.1  Eigilwich's father was Wittekind I van Saksen and her mother was Svatana van Saksen.  Her paternal grandparents were Wernerking van Saksen and Gundelinde van Rugië. She had a brother and a sister, named Wigbert and Hasala.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died about 0834.1
