Childeric I was born in 0436.1  Childeric I's father was Merovee der Franken and his mother was Chlodeswinthe van Frankrijk.  His paternal grandparents were Clodion der Franken and Menia van Thüringen; his maternal grandparents were Chlodion van Frankrijk and Hildegonde van Keulen. He had a sister named Ragnachilde.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 45 on December 26th, 0481 in Doornik (B).1
