Chane was born on December 27th, 1915.  Chane's father was Michael Hurovitz and her mother was Pesie Pnina Hurovitz.  Her paternal grandparents were Shimon (Shimi-Shmuel) Shmuel Hurovitz and Rivka Mehucha Rudin.  She had a brother and five sisters, named David, Shulamis, Rachel, Esther, Clara and Sara.  She was the fifth oldest of the seven children.
