Shulamit, known as Shulamis, was born on May 13th, 1917.  Shulamis' father was Michael Hurovitz and her mother was Pesie Pnina Hurovitz.  Her paternal grandparents were Shimon (Shimi-Shmuel) Shmuel Hurovitz and Rivka Mehucha Rudin.  She had a brother and five sisters, named David, Chane, Rachel, Esther, Clara and Sara.  She is the sixth oldest of the seven children.
