Hendl was born on June 16th, 1937.  Hendl's father was Shlomo Friedlich Bergoffen and her mother was Etty Yached Rigler.  Her paternal grandparents were Abraham Bergoffen and Chana Friedlich.  She had two sisters named Esther-Lea and Miriam-Sarah.  She was the second oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 5 on August 19th, 1942.
