Nanda (Nini) was born on July 30th, 1963.  Nanda (Nini)'s father was Nagardas Bhavanidas Unewal and her mother was Amratben Devchand Jethva.  Her paternal grandparents were Bhavanidas Dulabh Unewal and Kunvarbai; her maternal grandparents are Devchand Bhikha Jethva and Pankunvar Parsotam Makwana. She has five sisters named Shobha, Geeta, Hasu, Hemlata and Hansa.  She is the youngest of the six children.
