Pranlal was born on March 2nd, 1939.  Pranlal's father was Vithaldas Ramchand Rathod Tikadiya and his mother was Saritabai Bhagvandas Gohil.  His paternal grandparents were Ramchand Dulabh Rathod Tikadiya and Laxmibai; his maternal grandparents are Bhagvandas Kishor Gohil and Panibai. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Prithviraj, Amratlal, Vishnudas, Jaicinh, Balvantrai, Tarulata and Pranlaxmi.  He was the fifth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 49 on July 2nd, 1988.
