Diwali's father was Gangaram Ghela Parmar and her mother was Nandubai.  Her paternal grandparents are Ghela Parmar and <Unknown>. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Nagardas, Kessaugi, Harakhbai, Gangabai, Radiat, Puri and Kasi.
