    • This is the Edward and Ellen (Gorham)  Brink first home.  The picture was taken in the early 1940's.  The home was located at the East end of Lynde Street and Elm Street, Old Saybrook, CT.  The home was torn down in 2016 to make way for commercial development.
Ellen was born on August 19th, 1915.  Ellen's father was Daniel Joseph Gorham and her mother was Theresa Mary Scheibenpflug.  Her paternal grandparents were John J. Gorham, Jr. and Ellen Sheahan; her maternal grandparents were Ferdinand Scheibenpflug and Theresa Eder. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John, James, Charles, Mary and Frances.  She was the second youngest of the six known children.  She died due to a cardiac arrest at the age of 94 on December 26th, 2009 in Clinton, CT.1
