Mary was born on November 11th, 1629 in Royden - England.1   Mary's father was Mr Richard Platt and her mother was Mrs Mary Wood. She had six brothers and two sisters, named John, Isaac, Samuel, Joseph, Epenetus, Josiah, Sarah and Hannah.  She was the oldest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 39 on June 17th, 1669 in Middletown.1
