Mr Abraham Doolittle

Abraham was born in 1620 in Worchestshire.

Birth Notes

Abraham's father was Mr Abraham Doolittle and his mother was Mrs. His paternal grandparents were Mr Humphrey Doolittle and Mrs Ann. He died at the age of 70 on August 11th, 1690 in Wallingford. His burial was in Wallingford.¹

  Was a puritan and shortly after his first marriage went to the new world to find political and religious freedom.
  
  He was chosen seven times as a deputy from New Haven to the General Assembly at Hartford. He served many consecutive years as a town selectman. Abraham and his father-in-law, John Moss, were two or the three member committee appointed to establish the town of Wallingford, CT. He represented Wallingford at the General Assembly for several terms. During the twenty years from the incorporation of Wallingford until his death he was appointed to almost every position of responsibility within the gift of his fellow townsmen.
