Mr Jacobus Depuy

Jacobus was born on October 19th, 1703 in Kingston.¹ Jacobus' father was Mr Moses Depuy and his mother was Mrs Maria Jans Wynkoop. His paternal grandparents were Mr Nicholas Depuy and Mrs Catalina De Vos (De Vaux); his maternal grandparents were Mr Cornelious Wynkoop and Mrs Maria Janse Langedyck. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Nicholas, Cornelius, Moses, Benjamin, Maretje, Cathrina, Magdelena, Catrina and Susanna. He was the youngest of the ten known children. He died at the age of 54 on December 18th, 1757 in Kingston.¹

General Notes
- He and his brother Moses were very much attached. They were known to sit whole nights in close religious conversation. When together they even neglected urgent busines for brotherly conversation.
