Noreen was born on March 14th, 1926 in Grahamstown.  Noreen's father was George Baden Willis and her mother was Bertha Louise Turner.  Her paternal grandparents were George Willis and Helen (Ellen) Cinnamon. She has three sisters named Isobel Hope, Helen and Avreen.  She is the third oldest of the four children.
