Stasė was born on December 24th, 1919 and her christening.  Stasė's father was Mykolas Gaižauskas and her mother was Veronika Liutkutė Gaižauskienė.  Her paternal grandparents were Prosenelis Gaižauskas and Gaižauskienė. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Juozas, Antanas, Pranas, Zofija, Onutė, Antanina and Regina.  She was the oldest of the eight children.  She died due to natural causes or old age at the age of 87 on April 23rd, 2007.  She was buried in Babtu kapinese.
