  • 22 Walter, Oyster River, His homestead on no. side bet. Wm Beard and Philip Chesley.  A Scotch prisoner and prob. first there in service at the mills. Recd. inhab. 10 Han. 1658-9; gr. 20 a. at head of own lot 1666.  Lists 74, 356d, 361a, 363abc, 364, 365,366, 359a(2).  His wife Jane and her form. master, Mr Andrew Wiggen, were in Ct.25 June 1667, he found not guilty.  D. 1683; adm. 18 Mar. 1687-8 to s. William.  Widow prob. m. 2d Henry Rice, but called 'Jackson' when k. by Ind. 169_.  Ch: William, oldest, +-65 Feb. 1734, had 20 a. gr. at head of fa's land, 1694.  Lists 62, 96, 368ab, 369.  His w. Mary adm. to Oyster Riv. Ch. 24 May 1724, where he was bp. 24 Dec. 1727.  Will 8 Feb. 1757 - 30 Jan. 1760, names her and 3 ch., all bp. 23 Aug. 1724: William, b. 1715 by depos., sued whith his fa. in 1734; Meribah, m. Robt. Huckins; Benjamin.  Elizabeth, m. by July 1701 Henry Marsh.  Mary, m. by July 1701 Timothy Moses.  Jane; July 15, 1712 Francis Drew gave bond to supp. her ch. 7 yrs.  James, s.-in-law (stepson) of henry Rice and adm. his est.  mary Tasker acc. him 12 Aug. 1698, her ch. b 20 APr.  List 368b.  He was bp. the day bef he d. 3 Mar. 1717-8.  Wid. Sarah bp. 21 Sept. fol. with her ch: Samuel (List 369), Joseph, Sarah, Abigail, Keziah.  James, appar. eldest son and poss. not Sarah's, was gr. adm. of his fa.'s est. 8 Sept. 1725; m. Sarah Jordon (3).  Ch. incl. James and Robt. bp. Dover 21 Mar. 1736, and poss. Solomon bp. 23 June 1728, m, (his cousin) Sarah Jordon.
