Desire was born on December 29th, 1894 in Maldegem.1  Desire's mother was Amelie Dauwels.  His maternal grandparents were Charles Dauwels and Rosalie Trenson. He had three brothers named Alfons, Lievyn Cyriel and Leo.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  Desire is no longer alive.
