William was born about May 1828 in Barking Essex and his christening took place on June 1st, 1828 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.1   William's father was Edward Moore (Baker b Buckinhamshire) and his mother was Elizabeth Belchar (Sextoness).  His maternal grandparents were William Belchar (Baker) and Mary Sibley (Money in Will)). He had two sisters named Elizabeth and Mary.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died on July 14th, 1855 in Kaliah on Black Sea.  He was buried in Kaliah on Black Sea Crimea.2 3
