Emily was born about May 1863 in Love Lane Barking Essex and her christening took place on June 28th, 1863 at St Margaret's Barking.1  Emily's father was Alfred Mildren (StokerGasWorks bur D 1598 Rip) and her mother was Ann Smart (bur D 1598 Rippleside).  Her paternal grandfather was William Mildren and her paternal grandmother is <Unknown>. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Alfred, Walter, Albert, Edith, Ada and Annie.  She was the third oldest of the seven children.  She died about May 15th, 1943 in Barking Essex.  The funeral took place on May 18th, 1943 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking.  She was buried on May 18th, 1943 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking.2 3

Emily and William were married in a religious ceremony on December 25th, 1885 at St Mary Magdalene East Ham witnessed by Alfred Mildren & Ellen Mildren.4  They had four sons and eight daughters, named Alfred, William, Archibald, Albert, Annie, Eliza, Ethel, May , Hilda, Selina, Lillian and Grace.
