Richard was born in 1829.  Richard's father was Richard Jarvis (Ag Labourer) and his mother was Sarah Elmore. He had a brother and a sister, named Thomas and Rachael.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 27 in December 1856 in Barking Essex.1
