William was born in 1848.  William's father was Henry Hart (Basket Maker d Grimsby) and his mother was Sarah Jane Spashett (d Grimsby).  His paternal grandparents were Henry Hart (Baker -  Grave 247) and Mary Wilson (Baker - grave 247). He had four brothers and two sisters, named Henry, Jacob, George, Edwin, Sarah and Mary.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.
