William was born on August 25th, 1809 in Barking Essex and his christening took place on September 17th, 1809 at St Margarets Barking.1 2   William's father was John Forge (Sail Maker grave 312) and his mother was Mary Haggis (Grave 312 St Margarets).  His paternal grandparents were John Forge and Mary Stradling; his maternal grandfather was William Tudsbery Haggis (Grave 311) and his maternal grandmother is <Unknown>. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, George, Ann and Elizabeth.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 60 on December 27th, 1869 in 3 Belsize Park.  The funeral took place on January 2nd, 1869 at St James Swains Lane St Pancras.  He was buried on January 2nd, 1869 at St James Swains Lane St Pancras.3 4
