John was born on April 1st, 1812 at St Dunstan & All Saints Stepney and his christening took place there on May 31st, 1812.1  John's father was John Fisher (Shipwright of Ratcliff) and his mother was Susanna Harris.  His paternal grandparents were John Fisher (Shipwright) and Jenny Barnard (b Bermondsey bur St Dunstan). He had a brother and four sisters, named George, Susannah, Eliza, Susannah and Jane .  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died of an unknown cause about 1843 in North Sea.2

John and Martha were married in a religious ceremony on November 7th, 1834 in All Saints Poplar church witnessed by Elizabeth Hill & William Smith.3  They had two sons and two daughters, named John , Thomas, Martha and Emma.
