Bertrum was born in 1881 in Poplar.1   Bertrum's father is Tom Brokenshire (Commerical Clerk) and his mother was Alice Worpole.  His maternal grandparents were Joseph Worpole (Metal Merchant-Marine Stores) and Ann of Poplar Noel. He had a brother and a sister, named Sydney and Lillian.  He was the youngest of the three children.  Bertrum is no longer alive.
