Frederick was born about 1895 in Braintree Essex. Frederick's father was Henry William Amos (BrushMaker) and his mother was Esther Williams. His paternal grandparents were William of Coggeshall Amos (Silk Weaver) and Susannah Crisell (Hand Loom Weaver Silk b Gt Cornard). He had a brother and two sisters, named Robert, Mary and Martha. He had two half-brothers named Henry and Foster.
