This picture was taken on December 29th, 1914.
Hirsh was born on May 24th, 1891 in Rezekne and his brith-milah (circumcision).  Hirsh's father was Iosef(Iosel) Rivkin and his mother was Rachel Rivkin.  His paternal grandparents were Girsh Rivkin and Sora Rivkin; his maternal grandparents were Leiba Sapir and Tzilya Sapir. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Lev, Benyamin, Izaac, Ilya, Tzilya, Sofya and Genya.  He was the third oldest of the eight children.  He died in the Holocaust at the age of 51 in 1942 in Dvinsk.
