Sophia was born on July 6th, 1850 in Stettin, Pomerania and her confirmation took place in 1864 in St Jakob's Church, Stettin.  Sophia's father was Alexander Bachstein and her mother was Johanna Naumann.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 77 on May 6th, 1928 in Subiaco, Perth, WAUS.
