Felix was born on October 28th, 1876 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.  Felix's father was Adolph Philippson and his mother was Sophia Johanna Philippson / Bachstein.  His paternal grandparents were Mr Wulff Philippson and Hannah Philippson / Sondel; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Bachstein and Johanna Naumann. He had two brothers and five sisters, named William , George, Louisa, Hannah, Franziska, Adolphina and Margaret.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 51 in February 1928 in Germany.
