John was born on January 26th, 1820 in Tennessee.2   He died at the age of 44 on October 20th, 1864 in Lauderdale County, Alabama.  His burial was in Wright Cemetery, overlooking Opossum Creek near Center Hill, Lauderdale County, Alabama.3 3
