Evansville diocese Judy Neff 2/06:
Found the marriage record for Charles Gibson and Ann Wathen at St.
Peter. They were married February 16, 1841. No parents names were
given. I also found the baptismal records for 2 children:

a) Caroline baptized August 2, 1849 at six months of age
b) Charles born January 15, 1850

Carol Collins:
Ann was the daughter of Nicholas Wathen and Sarah Masters, married in Washington Co., Ky. in 1814. Both were born in Maryland - Nicholas in Pomfret, Charles Co. and Sarah several miles north in Prince Georges Co. I can send you their lineages back to 1650 but I doubt if you'd need that. Suffice it to say they came to Maryland ca. 1650 and stayed until 1812 (Nicholas) and 1795 (Sarah). They lived across the highway from each other in Kentucky (Fredericktown area). Nicholas served in the War of 1812 and took his bounty land in Daviess Co., Indiana.
