John's will, date 11 May 1848, names as heirs: wife Nancy, Heirs Stephen, Ignatius, Mary L., Rebecca, Joseph, and Samuel. Except for Stephen who was the only child of Nancy and John, the rest fit with what you gave me for Joseph's children.

An online genealogy claims this Nancy NORRIS (m. (1st) Joseph Walker, Jr. and (2nd) John Walker) was b. 1808 in KY, d. 1865 Daviess Cty, IN) is the dtr of Richard D. NORRIS and Mary "NORRISRICHARD" (suspect)

John's birth place: in 1880, John's son Stephen said his father (John) was born in MD and his mother, Nancy, in KY; in 1900, Stephen gave it the other way around, with John b. KY and Nancy b. MD, but I believe that is an error -- in the 1850 census, Nancy herself said she was b. KY. It may be worth a search of St. Mary's County, MD birth records from 1790-1795 to try to locate this John Walker and identify his parents.
