Could not find a death record for William Gibson. (Death records prior to about 1870 seem to be very few -- don't think they kept very good death records.)

17 Feb 1841, Charles purchases T3N R6W 29 SW 1/4 of NW 1/4 from (parents) William B. and Sarah GIBSON for $65 (Charles married on 11 Feb 1841). For same price, Willam B. had purchased at a Jan 1841 auction these lands, seized from Gabriel MATTINGLY by court order.

2 Feb 1841: indenture between Franklin Wilhite sheriff of Daviess County and William B. GIBSON; at April 1839 term of Daviess Circuit Court in Washington, IN, State Bank of Indiana won judgment and consideration against Gabriel MATTINGLY sum of $403.25 "occasion of the nonperformance of certain promises and undertakings," plus some $29.96 1/2 cents for legal costs. Gabiiel's lands put up for public auction on courthouse steps on 22 Jan 1841, William B. GIBSON placed winning bid of $65 for property of Gabriel MATTINGLY and appurtenances thereon at T3N R6W section 29 SW 1/4 of NW 1/4

I know this is a long shot but I am looking for William (9/15/1767 - 9/28/1844). He married Sarah Gough May 28, 1810 in Washington Co., KY (perhaps his second marriage) and died in Daviess Co., IN. I'm assuming that his mother or grandmother was a Beauchamp. He was a Catholic and migrated from Washington Co., KY to Daviess Co with a large group, many of whom came from St. Mary's Co., MD. Newton, MD in 1767 and 1769. Also there Peter Gough. There is a William Gibson in Fayette Co., KY in 1790.
"This (St. Mary's established in 1835) early Davis County Roman Catholic parish is located in northeastern Barr Township...This part of the county had been settled possibly as early as 1815 and 1819...In 1834, the parish built a log chapel in the northeastern part of Barr Township Scetion 10 on land donated to the church by the Norris Family.

"In response to a parish request, Bishop Brute was allowed to select
an appropriate name for the chapel and consequentlhy selected the name of St. Mary of the Assumption...The 1834 parish had 150 families with most of them from Kentucky plus a few from Ireland.
