Dear Carleton,

The problem is that I know very little about Benjamin Bulkin, other
than
that he was Doris Willig's 4th husband and my information is taken from
her
extensive obituary in the Philadelphia Inquirer, which you can find
online
at the Inquirer's website archives for a small fee. It indicated when
they
were married and he died so I was able to identify him as the Benjamin
Bulkin on the SSDI at Ancestry.com. A quick check of the Bulkins in
the
1930 census in Philadelphia shows a Bernard Bulkin b. ca. 1915, son of
William and Sophie Bulkin. I would bet you that's Benjamin. People
changed their names a lot. I would recommend you explore Ancestry at
your
local public library for further information, and write for Benjamin
Bulkin's social security application. I don't personally know Doris's
descendants, so I have no contact information for them. Their names
are
listed in her obituary and you could probably track them down through
Whitepages.com. Actually, I can e-mail you the obituary if you like.
