John N. was born in July 1890.  John N.'s father was James I. BARNETT and his mother was Malinda C. LNU.  His paternal grandparents were Asa Franklin BARNETT and Martha Elizabeth Ann BARNETT.  He had two brothers and a sister, named Robert D., Tallie D. and Cora A..  He was the youngest of the four children.
