If I have the right woman for his wife, then he should be dead by 1869, when she died a widow.  BUT James Gordon remained in Plot 38 til 1882, when he is scored out to "Thomas (Orange" Gordon suggesting he did not die until much later.

We are assuming Robert was her son-in-law (twice over!).

His will, made in 1911, and probated on 25th Nov 1918, gave him as Thomas Gordon, Lislea, farmer, his son, David was the executor and he inherited all the property.

NB: IFHF shows a Matilda Gordon born to James Gordon and Mary Unknown (not Martha) in 1833 (not 1832) but this is NOT in Kilrea CofI nor 1st nor 2nd Kilrea Presbyterian churches.

Not sure where I got 1837  The 1901 census gives her as 60 = Date of Birth of 1841 - which cannot be right as she would only have been 14 when she got married!  

Her Date of Death in Civil records gives her age as 78 = Date of Death of 1837.  Present at Death was Joseph H Gordon, son.
