Gives her age as 45 in the first 1870 census, 40 in the second 1870 census and 55 in the 1880 census.
She gives herself as aged 27 when she arrives in New York on 13th June 1863 - DoB of 1826/5.
Death Notes
BB: Would this be Sarah McVickar Gray? Sarah S. Gray born 1831 and died Aug 2, 1901 in NYC. Anyway - in shoebox. Turned out not to be because her husband was a widower when he died in 1892.
General Notes
Living in Cullyvenny at time of marriage, daughter of John McVickar.
Living in New York with her husband Samuel, sister, Isabella McVickar, plus her growing family, in the 1870 and 1880 US censuses.
(BB: We know that the McVickar father was John, although you don't have that on you tree!)
BB has now found Sarah and the children, William, John and Samuel, arriving in New York aboard the Columbia on 13th July 1863, although Sarah's name is given as Susan.
