Samuel's father was Samuel Steen [1865-Ballinrees;1901-LowerBalteagh;1925-Ardvarness/Ballywilliam] Claments and his mother was Annabella McKeown.  His paternal grandparents were Samuel [1854-Altibrian;1865-Ballinrees;Dunalis-1868;1885-Ballystrone;] Clements and Jane [1854-Ballystrone;1897-Ballinteer] Finlay; his maternal grandparents were James  McKeown and Ellenor "Ellen" Gibson. He had five brothers and three sisters, named James, John, Anna, David, Sarah, Ellen, Mary Jane and Martha.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 77 on May 5th, 1970.

  Surprisingly he is not listed in the family home when they have moved to Ardvarness in the 1911 census.  And there were no other McClements Heads of Household in the census in Ardvarness.  But, there are two Samuel McClementses in Ardvarness in 1912 Ulster Covenant and none in Balteagh or Ballystrone.  It is probably this man's father who lives in House 3Ba in Ardvarness, according to the Griffiths Valuation Revision Books from 1906 to 1927, at which point it passes to this man's brother, David.
