General Notes

Source: William Reid, Clerk of Session at Rossgar Presbyterian Church.  I met Jim who lives in the cottages at Ballylintagh.  He said he remembered Mary Brewster and knew he was somehow related to her. Spoke to Jim on phone today, 080803. He confirmed he was the son of James Gray and Annie Laverty.   He said his grandfather, James Gray was DEFINITELY a brother of "the sexton of Macosquin Presbyterian Church, William Gray"!!!  In fact, his father, James Gray visited my grandfather, William Gray, in Garvagh - they would have been cousins!!  And he remembers Tilly Gray delivering the post around Macosquin.
