Sarah Finlay 
Sarah's father was John [1831,1841-Ballystrone] Finlay and her mother was Mary Anne McDougal. Her paternal grandparents were ???? Finlay and ???? ????. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Alexander, Mathew, John, Jane, Isabella, Elizabeth, William, Elizabeth and Mary Anne.General Notes

9/19/1863 Sarah Finlay, Kiltinney, married Robert Thomson. Her father, John, was a farmer. Robert was a widower from Ballyvennox, Macosquin and one of the witnesses was a James Thompson.
It is strange that Sarah is the only child of John Finlay NOT to be married from the family home in Ballystrone. Also, there IS a family of Finlays in Kiltinney, so this Sarah may NOT be a daughter of my John Finlay. The source for there being a Sarah at all is SS using family lore.
James Thompson is the ONLY Thompson living in Ballyvennox by 1901; he is a 58 year old farmer and unmarried. Is this the same James who witnessed Sarah's marriage and does this suggest that Sarah and Robert have moved - perhaps emigrated? BB could not find them arriving in the US nor in any US censuses.
