General Notes

Griffiths Valuation Revision Book shows that Matthew Brown occupied House 12, Upper Coole Glebe from at least 1859 to 1868/9 when he was replaced by a Mary Brown.  Mary Brown is scratched out and replaced by John Allen circa 1898.

The 1881 Returns of Holdings shows that Mary Brown
bought her 7 acres in July 1 1875 for a gross amount
of 197  paying 59 in cash and the rest secured by
mortgage.
