Born 3 Williamsburgh, Paisley, son of Daniel Robertson (clerk of works) & Isabella Erskine Hamilton Barr. Widow, Ursula R.R.
Birch Russell Barr, & 5 children resident of 1 Park Terrace, Underwood Road, Paisley. Educated Williamsburgh School &
member of Canal Street U.F. Church. Member of Alexander Wilson Lodge of Oddfellows. Formerly employed as Assistant
Inspector of Poor with the Parish Council of Paisley. Enlisted at Paisley with 6th A.&S.H. (T), Sept. 1914, serving with C Coy.
Died in a Casualty Clearing Station of bomb wounds. (brother of John Hamilton Barr, step-brother of Archibald Kerr Boyle,
cousin of Dr George F. Barr & David Barr).
Died of wounds 1st October 1917 aged 37 ~ Buried Outtersteene Communal Cemetery Extension, Bailleul, Nord, France.
