FUNERAL SET Pratt City Woman To Be Buried In Fraternal Cemetery
The funeral of Mrs. Martha Holmes, 68, pioneer Pratt City resident, who died Thursday at her home, 69 Highland Avenue, Pratt City, after a lengthy illness, was to be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Pratt City Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. M. Campbell, pastor, officiating, burial in Fraternal Cemetery, Womack in charge. Through her religious and fraternal activities in Pratt City. Mrs. Holmes was widely known. She was a resident of the community for more than 40 years. Her four sons, J. G.. T. G., James and Ralph Holmes, and two daughters, Mrs. Walter Casey, Pratt City, and Mrs. C. M. Tiller, Ensley, survive. Active pallbearers were to be William Finley, Charles Giles, Nelson Brown. C. B. Fant. L. C. McLean and F. S. Brush. Honorary pallbearers: W. C. Muir, Archie McAdoe, John R. Wallace, A. J. McRimmon, Thomas Adams, Leonard James Howard.
