Albert P. McLeish, age 88, of Valparaiso, IN, formerly of Lynwood, IL, passed away Saturday, November 15. Survived by three children, Beverly (Jim) Nowak, Valparaiso, IN, Ellen (Ernie) Mardaras of Hemet, CA, Glenn (Annette) McLeish, Highland IN; three grandchildren, Jason, Christina and Nicole; one great-grandson Tristen; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved family pets; preceded in death by his wife Shirley, 1969; and granddaughter Dana. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 19, 11 a.m. from the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 1920 Hart St., Dyer, IN, with Rev. Robert Hasselbring officiating. Burial Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, November 18, from 2 to 8 p.m. Al was born and raised in Chicago. Retired painter, member of Chicago Painter's and Decorator's Union. WWII Army Veteran, lifelong member of Glendale American Legion Post #805, Chicago. Member of Masonic Triuen Lodge #442, Lansing, IL, who will hold services at 7:30 Tuesday, at the Funeral home. Family request donations to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetic Association in Al's name. For further info 219-865-2881.
