HAMILTON, William John Knox  Sapper 1115 ~ Royal Engineers  Born 3 McIntyre Place, Paisley, son of William John (plumber) & Euphemia Towers Knox  Hamilton, resident of Westmount Lodge, Park Road, Paisley. Educated John Neilson Institution & member of Thomas Coats  Memorial Church. Formerly employed as a joiner with William Knox, Gordon Street. Mobilised at Paisley with 1st/1st Renfrewshire Field Coy. Killed 3rd July 1916 aged 21 ~ Buried Sucrerie Military Cemetery, Colincamps, Somme, France.
