Gladys Towers, Apollo card

Mrs. Gladys Ortlip Towers and her sister Mrs. Mildred Ortlip Keel, 7 Surf Avenue, received an outstanding Christmas card from their nephew, Paul Ortlip, Navy artist on board the Apollo recovery ship, the Ticondoraga at the recent Astronaut splashdown in the Pacific. The card showed the cancellation stamp and seal of the Carrier. This was one of the three commissions from the Navy for Mr. Ortlip to provide paintings of the activities for permanent archive records. Mr. Ortlip resides in Fort Lee, where he has his portrait studio.
