      from "History of Paisley by W.O.Metcalfe 1909:
      "The Evangelical Union Church met for the first time in 1843 in the Abercorn Rooms. Thence they removed to the Exchange Rooms and then to the Old Low Church".  Which is the one at the foot of New Street, now as the Arts Centre.

      So son Alex followed his father Alex and was a member of a dissenting Church (source: Irene Pearson, 2004)
