 Anno 1849  2nd June:  Rannie and Wood.  Peter Rannie, blacksmith, in Elgin and Mary Wood in the Parish of Rathven, after being contracted and their matrimonial banns duly intimated in the Parish Church of Elgin, were married at Elgin by the Reverend John Pringle of the United Presbyterian Church in presence of a competent number of witnesses.
