William Stevenson & Agnes Findlay

‌William and Agnes were married in a religious ceremony on July 12th, 1844 in Gorbals by Reverend William Burns.¹

Marriage/Union Notes
- Rev. William Burns in Kilsyth (see Kilsyth Revival of 1839). But Kilsyth record states marriage performed in Glasgow.

They had a daughter named Agnes.

Family Notes
- William was 14 in 1841 census, so according to that was either 17 or 18 at wedding. But baptism in Dec. 1824 suggests he was 19.

  William was born on December 8th, 1824 in Kilsyth and his baptism took place there on December 26th, 1824.² He died before July 1854.³

  Agnes was born on July 31st, 1825 in Kilsyth and her baptism took place there on August 14th, 1825.⁴

    - Died aged 31, so born between 1-dec-1827 and 30-Nov-1828
  She died due to a medical problem, Consumption, duration 2 years, at the age of 34 on November 30th, 1859 in Kilsyth. She was buried in Kilsyth.⁵⁵

    43 in 1891 census, suggesting born on Apr 4th or 5th, 1848. However exactly same applies to husband, so more likely they added or subtracted a year at one of the censuses

    Death 08-12-1898 aged 50 (reported by son) suggest between 9-12-1847 and 8-12-1848

    In 1851, Agnes was living with her 'uncle' (actually grandfather), David Stevenson and family. Her father is visiting another address in Glasgow in 1851, her mother visitng her parents (if that is her).
    
    Can't find Agnes in 1861 census
  She died from cancer, cancer of uterus, at the age of 52 on December 8th, 1898 in Wallsend. She was buried on December 11th, 1898 in Wallsend.⁸⁹
